A Cold 58 Degrees

“I am so busy doing nothing…that the idea of doing anything—which as you know, always leads to something—cuts into the nothing and then forces me to have to drop everything.” -Jerry Seinfeld

A few weeks ago, I had a funny conversation with my mom, telling her how it had really cooled off in L.A. and we were freezing at 62 degrees. She laughed and said, “That’s funny, it’s so warm here at 61!” Perspective, amiright? But the truth is, we are freezing in La La Land, which hasn’t made for very interesting weekends. When I complained to my husband that I have nothing interesting to blog about he said, “Blog about nothing! It worked for Seinfeld!”

So…here goes nothing!

This still makes me laugh so hard.

We changed our minds on the Mexico front and booked a trip to Tulum! I’m so excited to jump on that bandwagon eight years after it became trendy. But seriously, I’m most excited about the hotel.

We had some amazing weather in January and for the first time rented a beach bed at Paradise Cove in Malibu! I can only imagine how crowded this gets in the summer, but it was so much fun. It’s also just down from the new The Native hotel, which is an affordable, very stylish stay.

Speaking of stylish stays, have you been to the Nomad downtown, yet? Ohmygah. LOVED IT! Highly recommend for dinner, drinks or a weekend getaway—just make sure their rooftop has opened.

I made this Bourbon Chocolate Bread Pudding for Valentine’s Day and substituted the bourbon for rum. It scored major points.

Everything Coming to Netflix in March 2018 and What You Need to Watch (I highly recommend My Next Guest Needs No Introduction —the George Clooney episode!)

This week I’m finally going to an allergist to see if I am, in fact, allergic to wine. Pray for me.
