Earlier this year, I was with a client at a talk show, and watched Chef Brendan Collins make a pea and ricotta salad that was the absolute bomb—so much so that I went home and made it that night. I also immediately made reservations at his restaurant, Birch, which—lucky for me—is in my neighborhood. Collins is British, so he pays homage to his roots, serving a Sunday Roast that will whisk you away to England, Yorkshire pudding included. The cocktails are addictive, the atmosphere laid-back, and unlike so many LA restaurants where you only need to go once, Birch is a local favorite that we return to over and over again.

Though Birch is dinner only, if you’re looking for a great lunch spot, it was just announced this week that the popular downtown Cento Pasta Bar now has a pop-up restaurant inside Birch—under the title Andare—every day from 11:00am-3:00pm. Get it while it’s hot!
The Roast is every Sunday from noon-4.

The Mister’s favorite is the tiger shrimp tikka masala.

Grab a group of friends, the Sunday roast is enough for a crowd.

Boy, now I’m really hunger and I don’t think BBQ, as good as it is, will match this menu. Your photography is beautiful.
Haha! I will take you there next time you visit!
