An Icelandic, design inspired hostel. Private rooms or bunk rooms, there's wine on tap and a chic restaurant with Nordic/Pacific Northwest ingredients. Though I'm not staying here (my sister-in-law is), I never thought I'd say this...I'm into it! This is @kexhostel and damned if it isn't a #stylishstay

I'll always love this view from the top @thenineshotel, located on the upper floors of a historic building. We first stayed here 12 years ago, a year after they opened to great fanfare, putting Portland on the map in the experiential hospitality scene. As with all hotels in 2020, it's struggled, and we're paying more for the room than we'd like, but got a lot back in food and beverage credits. Attention to detail in most hotels is hard to come by these days, so while this hotel is no longer shiny and new like our first visit, it's still a great option for any boutique hotel lovers visiting the city. #stylishstays

Always crave an East Coast 4th, so we ate inside @foundoyster yesterday and it was perfection! We got there right when they opened at noon and waited an hour (so worth it), but at 1pm when I took this photo, it was less busy. Pro tip: get the smoked trout dip if they have it! I recreated it this morning cause I haven't stopped thinking about it (see stories) 😋✨✨✨
