11 Howard

January 4, 2017
A look inside the luxury boutique hotel 11 Howard Hotel in Soho in New York City

New York, New York

All bundled up down Crosby Street, past Balthazar, just around the corner from the former Mondrian Soho, a gust of wind quite literally blew us through the glass doors, where we were welcomed by several doormen, as well as the captivating signature scent that is diffused throughout the lobby, ensuring that the very essence of the place lingers in your memory in the best way possible. There is no traditional check-in counter, but rather a table with iPads, where you are guided through a self check-in process;  then an elevator button is pressed for you, and up you go to your stylish bedroom, where anything you could ever need—robe, coffee, extra pillow— is available at the touch of a screen.

Welcome to the 11 Howard—Soho’s newest and coolest boutique hotel.

Outfit Details: Lark Faux Fur Vest // Equipment Cashmere Sweater  // Old Navy Dress Shirt (on sale!) // J.Crew Socks (on sale!)

Pro tip: Ask for a quiet room. Part of the hotel is located on Canal Street, which runs right over the subway, and believe me, it will feel like you’re sleeping on top of it. Also, don’t forget that though this room may seem minimal (where is my robe?!), your iPad is the key to all the frills (and food).

We LOVED these Grown Alchemist products that are all organic and smell delicious.

That signature scent I mentioned was created by the artist in residence, Oliver Gustav. His only New York studio is located next door, and opens up into the lobby. You can buy the candle here.

Hello, concierge? I’d like a massage around the corner in the next hour. Also, can you book 6 of us for dinner at the Fat Radish tomorrow night? Yes, they can and they did. A++ for service.

Le Cou Cou is the restaurant attached to the hotel; it’s the newest—and first stateside—restaurant by chef Daniel Rose. You may remember when we visited his Paris restaurant Spring?!  It is seriously amazing, and completely worth the hype. We had breakfast there every morning and cocktails one night before dinner. Highly recommend!
