I’m beyond delighted to report that I am the proud new owner of this gorgeous vintage bar cart! I’ve been obsessing over bar carts since “Mad Men” brought back the cocktail hour (to the office). I have scoured Etsy, Craigslist and 1st dibs for at least three years and last week my dear friend Jenn surprised me with an early birthday gift. I mean…what a GIFT (thanks a million, Jenn)! Please join me in drinking to that!
The “real” photo
Setting up a bar cart can be a challenge. I found it helpful to pick one color (blue) and then add neutrals. I mixed high end glasses (Waterford Old Fashioned) with vintage blue ones. For everyday use, I picked only a few of my favorite liquor bottles to display. When I have a party, I can stock it for more practical use. The lemons were just props. It’s definitely a work in progress! For cocktail recipes, check out Mrs. Lilien’s Styling House blog for so many great options like the “Brunch in a Cup.”
