The Best Massage in Los Angeles

April 5, 2018
Looking for the best massage in LA? Look no further than Larchmont Sanctuary Spa on Larchmont.

A Look Inside the Larchmont Los Angeles Sanctuary Spa

I was recently treated to the best massage I’ve ever had in Los Angeles at my neighborhood day spa—the Larchmont Sanctuary Spa. My husband and I have walked by many times, and while I did visit years ago, it had fallen off my radar. I’m sure it will come as no surprise that I get massages frequently, but for reasons other than that I’m just spoiled! It’s part of my migraine management, so they are often painful and hardly ever at an actual spa.

Needless to say, I was thrilled to be invited to Larchmont Sanctuary Spa for their Couples Experience because it reminded me that you don’t always have to travel far to leave your stress behind, and that the best massage in town is literally just blocks from my house. My husband getting to come along was an added bonus! Read on for what you need to know before you book.

What I Love: The focus here is on the quality of your treatments. I’ll say it again—it was the best massage I have had in Los Angeles.

Find Your Bliss: My husband and I were treated to the Couples “Escape Together” package, which included a 20 minute bath in a copper tub with champagne, followed by a 60 minute stress away massage, finished with a 15 minute scalp massage (heaven).

Who to Book: Victor—no surprise, he is the most requested masseuse. My husband was equally happy with Samantha.

Something to Know: The decor will not make you want to immediately open Instagram to share, but having experienced that Instafamous massage place in LA (you know the one) twice and having both times walked away with the worst massage I’ve ever had, I can tell you that I now care way less about how trendy a place looks.

Cool Factor: Located on Larchmont Blvd, this is a neighborhood experience, where you can leave your cares behind and then head over to Vernetti for dinner and a night cap.

[…] While it’s grown tremendously in the last few years—gaining larger high-end brands like Diptique and Trina Turk—there are still great independent boutiques and a Farmers’ Market every Sunday morning from 10am-2pm. Though Larchmont Village is considered the south end of the street, it’s been expanding further towards Melrose with the opening of Cafe Gratitude a few years ago. If you’re looking to treat yourself, it’s worth nothing that this is the best massage I’ve had in Los Angeles. […]
