One Skirt, Two Ways
I originally bought this Vince midi skirt to wear for my first Stylish Stay at the Culver Hotel. Because it was a bit of a splurge, I decided I needed to find a way to dress it down for everyday wear, so I added a denim jacket and wore it with red espadrilles to an outdoor bridal shower. A friend at the shower was bummed that she purchased this exact skirt, but returned it because she didn’t know how to wear it in a casual way. That interaction inspired this post! I’m guilty—and maybe you can relate—of spending more on special occasion clothes than on what I wear in my daily life. The key is to buy pieces that can be dressed up or down with denim and sneakers. A midi skirt—especially one made of luxe fabric—can take you from day to night—something I most look for when packing for a trip. All you need is an extra pair of shoes.
