Roll up your sleeves and slide on your wellies, because I’m taking you to the Cotswolds for a glorious day at the Soho Farmhouse. Forty Cabins sit on 100 acres of English countryside at the newest rustic hotel from the members’ club Soho House, where you can frolic in the infinity pool that spills out into a lake with rowboats, or take a dip in the wooden hot tub after a massage at Cowshed Spa—the ultimate spa break in the Cotswolds. Either way, one thing is certain—you will not leave hungry. I came for a Sunday roast, and it was absolutely worth the two-hour drive to Oxfordshire.
In addition to the cabins, you can choose to stay at the four-bedroom Farm Cottage. Never fear—they only look rustic. Soho Farmhouse is one of the best luxury hotels in the Cotswolds.
Studio cabins come complete with rainforest shower, wood burning stoves, and outdoor bathtubs.
You can even glamp in a teepee—JUST KIDDING. But you can glamp in a Bell Tent, which is very similar, really.
My wonderful friends Ana and Simon, who were so kind to play chauffeur and tour guide through the countryside, were my dates for the day. I took a car to their house in Henley-on-Thames from London and Simon drove us here. They frequently visit LA, so I’m happy to say we have a very transatlantic relationship. You should absolutely follow along on their luxury adventures over at her popular blog Mrs. O Around the World.
We had lunch in the Main Barn, the fanciest barn I ever did see!
Rosé all day and a proper Sunday roast.
Located in Soho House locations across the world, Cowshed Spa is known for their cheeky products like the Bullocks body wash.
What hot tub dreams are made of.
They had an ENTIRE room of cheese.
The Barnwell Barn also serves an enormous Sunday roast, and this space can be utilized for events. Imagine having your wedding here!
There is also a gorgeous gift shop with a florist inside. I basically wanted one of everything.
My life philosophy.
And in case your weekend in the country leaves you feeling deprived of high fashion, never fear. The Store stocks a very well curated selection of home decor and frocks you definitely won’t need here.
I could get used to this life on the farm.
