LA Nights, Above all the Lights
My bestie Christi recently introduced me to the Friday Night Wine Tastings over at Barnsdall Art Park happening all summer long and it tops my list for how to spend those summer LA nights. For $30, Silverlake Wines presents a tasting of four selections from around the globe in a relaxed setting, high above L.A., where you can cheers to the weekend for the most magical happy hours(s) in town.
What to Know about Barnsdall Park Wine Tastings
Nestled on the West Lawn of the historic Frank Lloyd Wright Hollyhock House, you’re invited to bring a comfy blanket and a group of friends. Grab a spot early—by sundown it is packed!
You can order charcuterie plates in advance or grab a bite from a food truck.
But, we prefer to pack our own picnic.
I have been super impressed with the unique wine selection—all from boutique, small production wines from all over the world.
You do need tickets in advance and they tend to sell out a few days before. I recommend becoming a member, which gets you all kinds of benefits including at least one free ticket to wine night, all while supporting their foundation.
Something to note is that you now have to be 21 or older to come inside the wine tasting. This changed a few years ago. If you want to bring your kids, you can still enjoy the sunset on the lawn just outside the gated wine tasting area and bring a picnic or enjoy the food trucks.
TGIF!!
So fun!
