Christmas Time in Historical Philadelphia

We just got back from Philadelphia. I wish I could say it was for a weekend jaunt, a change of scenery, a mini vacation. But, it wasn’t. It was to attend a memorial for a life cut way too short, something I hope to never again witness for as long as I live. But, if anything it taught me we must be present in every second, laugh a lot and spend quality time with those we love. We had one day to entertain ourselves, so we decided to make the most of a very somber weekend.

On a walk back from breakfast, my husband challenged me to a camera phone competition. Of course he would. He’s an artist. I’d say he had a pretty unfair advantage, but we had such a good time, admiring the beautiful homes decked out in Christmas sparkle…. laughing all the way.

These last two are just so fitting. Me walking past the Society Hill Hotel…

And Dave finding the funny.
