Hotel Monaco Philadelphia

As I mentioned yesterday, this last trip to Philadelphia was a different sort of trip for so many reasons. One of which is that we stayed at the newly opened Hotel Monaco, a Kimpton Hotel. Located on a prime corner in the historic district just one block from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, it’s also within walking distance to some of Philly’s best restaurants, which is  a great thing if you’re like me and always have food on the brain. As with most Kimpton Hotels, the rooftop bar & lounge turns into quite the scene on weekends, even tauting a velvet rope (forgive the eye roll, but I do live in Hollywood).  Not to worry if a crowded bar isn’t your bag..the lobby is the place to be at wine-o-clock, a 5pm daily tradition. And, as always,  Kimpton InTouch Members are greeted with a mini surprise at check in (Oh, you know I’m a member! This time it was $10 towards the mini bar, which got me exactly 2.5 waters!).  Check out the photos below—the decor is  so incredibly whimsical and chic.
