Fall Fashion Day & Night

Let me start by saying that it has been in the high 90s in LA for several weeks and I am OVER it! My summer wardrobe is tired and I’m hot and grumpy— as I get this time of year when I crave autumn and it’s nowhere in sight. We just got back from a very quick weekend to San Francisco, where the changing of seasons is absolutely glorious. I wore boots and sweaters, tried on tons of embellished denim, drank lattes and gorged myself on very spicy Indian food, never breaking a sweat. Now I’m back home, dreaming of cashmere and hoping some of these cozy things will jump in my closet sooner than later!

 1. Tory Burch Velvet Fox Loafers 2. Rag and Bone Harrow Suede Boot in Charcoal

I’m loving the velvet loafers for fall. They feel like bedroom slippers, but look so cool with jeans. I especially love the little foxes on these by Tory Burch. And do we really need to talk about my boot fetish? Boots are my absolute favorite thing and every season it’s the first thing I buy.

 1. Paige Jeans in Sapphire $209  2. DL 1961 Skinny Jeans in Ornate $178

I actually splurged on both these at the Bloomingdales denim sale in San Francisco and got them 20% off.

 1. J.Crew Tippi Sweater $138  2. Vince Sequined Ombre Sweater $345

My friend Jenn once told me that when I die, she has dibs on my sweater collection (if that tells you anything). I can’t help it! I love to be cozy and J.Crew & Vince sweaters are my weakness.

1. Rag & Bone Samantha Leather Trim Tweed Cardi/Jacket $625 2. Veda Ryder Leather Jacket $825

The very first clothing purchase I made when I moved to L.A. was a Guess leather jacket. It took me everywhere—to the cool nights out on the Sunset strip back home to NC for the holidays. When I got off the plane, my mom exclaimed that I “looked so Hollywood.” Of course I was very pleased at that! It’s definitely time for a new one that’s a little more fitted and sleek. These are the inspiration—though I’ll be looking for something a little more affordable.

1. Hermes Capcod PM Watch ( I also love the double band!)$2550  2. Vintage 1980 Citizen Ladies Watch $170

I cannot tell you how over the boyfriend watch I am. When I was watching Woody Allen’s “When in Rome,” one of the actresses had on the daintiest little watch and I decided then and there to retire my over-sized one for a while. Of course I am dreaming of the classic Hermes, but I won’t be getting that anytime soon. This Vintage Citizen at American Apparel is also very cool and way less moolah!

Happy Shopping!
