How to Style a Holiday Bar Cart as Seen on Rue Magazine

How to style a holiday bar cart

Earlier this week, one of my favorite design and lifestyle sites, Rue, shared my tips on how to style a holiday bar cart. Rue is a publication I work with a lot for my PR biz, and they even put my interior design client D2 on the cover of their holiday issue this year! Definitely check out the piece for the complete tips, but I wanted to share some the links to shop, because so many of these items will also make great gifts.

Many of the items on my holiday bar cart are items from my home that I use year round. I am obsessed with this CB2 peacock spoon rest, that adds some whimsey in or out of your kitchen. The Roger Moore print was given to me by my dear friend Ashley Burns. I’ve been obsessed with it for years, and had always planned to hang it in my power room, but it looked so good on the bar cart, I left it!

Anthropologie is one of my favorites for holiday decor, and their bird ornaments are so fun to hang on the tree or on a decanter like this one. Put one around a wine bottle for a little added effort on an easy hostess gift. Speaking of hostess gifts, how about some custom napkins? Or buy them for your next cocktail party—God is in the details.

Other favorite items on this cart that make great gifts include these adorable Jonathan Adler coasters, my favorite holiday candle, and these great hand towels from Amber Interiors. I wishh I could tell you that the sheep is still available, but sadly the only ones I could find were extremely expensive. Mine is from Pendleton’s from last year in case you want to search eBay!

PS. Another way to style your bar cart!
