Modernism Week in Palm Springs starts soon, which celebrates midcentury architecture and design in Palm Springs, and showcases over 250 events including home tours, films lectures, and parties. I thought it was the perfect time to share more of my photos from my recent trip to Palm Springs, including a really charming midcentury modern boutique hotel for those looking for a great budget option in the desert. And of course I had to drive by THAT PINK DOOR.
Though my house is a little more traditional, I love to add little touches of this quintessential California style like this coffee table book Slim Aarons: La Dolce Vita that sits on my entryway table, and this turned leg planter that I want for my bedroom. Below are some of my favorite photos from our trip that highlight the best of midcentury style, as well as a few things that will help you incorporate a little midcentury flair to your own life.
The Del Marcos Hotel is just around the corner from the Avalon, and the minute we walked by, I had to get a little tour. Rooms start at only $100!
