Making a List

Sometimes Christmas falls in a way that leaves us feeling all frantic before Thanksgiving. Raise your hand if you’re feeling the stress already (insert my hand here)! When I think of all the things that I “have to do,” before December 25th, it can get really overwhelming—leaving very little joy for the sparkle and magic of the holidays. So I made a list, and little by little I’m sure it will all get done. In the meantime, I keep reminding myself of what’s important—like having a loving family to fly home to, and a warm roof over my head. If I don’t get those Christmas cards ordered, it will all be ok!

There are so many things I’m thankful for, like being able to snuggle up with my love this weekend to watch Love, Actually—as we do every Thanksgiving weekend—with a cup of mulled spices and our lighted tree softly glowing in the background. Below are a few of my favorite things that may help you check things off your list, too, and give you more time to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Have a happy Turkey Day—and then put up the tree and deck the halls!

You’re amazing and indefatigable! Thanks for helping out the less apt of us (which would be pretty much everyone else). And I hope you, Dave, and your wonderful marvelous family and friends have wonderful holidays!!!
