Miami Sunshine

This past weekend we flew to Miami to celebrate some of our very best friends tying the knot. Expecting nothing less from these two, every minute was stylish,Β and every detail given meticulous thought. Β We lounged cabaΓ±a side at the 1 Hotel with #rosΓ©allday, overlooking the best views in SouthΒ Beach, and of course,Β feastedβ€”as only they would have itβ€”from a Top Chef winner after they said “I do.” The occasion called for nothing short of our absolute finest, so I splurged on this Marissa Webb dress, inspired by Michelle William’s Oscar look circa 2006. I’ll admit, I was nervous: Mustard yellow is not a color I wear…well, ever. And dark lipstick scares my husband. But I went for itβ€”and hopefully pulled it off.

I was lucky enough to get a last minute appointment with Glamsquad alongside the bridal party. It was my first time using a beauty app, where hair and makeup artists show up to your hotel room (or home). It’s literally beauty on demand, and now I’mΒ obsessed! Have you ever tried a beauty app for at-home services? Let me know in the comments. More on Miami to come!

As for hair/makeup, I came with a very planned out look complete with photos I had pulled from Pinterest and my own lip color. I was extremely happy with how well they executed my vision. Make sure to check the Glamsquad website for promo codes. Even though I got $10 off as a code for Miami, I was bummed they didn’t tell me there was a $20 off for first time users.

  1. Molly, you would look adorable in a paper bag; but really lovely in this dress! Your hair is great!

  2. Hi,

I love this dress and you look stunning in it. May I ask what size you are wearing? Does it run true to size?

    Thank you.

  3. Hi Kristie! Thank you so much. I bought a small, and yes I would say it runs pretty true to size. In American retail stores I can sometimes be an extra small (such as J.Crew), but generally speaking in tops and dresses I buy a small. Hope this helps!
