The Dish’s Dish

Thought having a private chef come to your home and cook your weekly meals was out of reach? Tsk Tsk. Enter The Dish’s Dish, where one of their “Culinistas” is at your beck and call ready to collaborate with you on a menu, do the shopping, cook 6-8 dishes to mix and match throughout the week and then (drum roll) clean up the mess, leaving your kitchen spotless, as though it was all just a dream. Except that it wasn’t!

Last week, Chef Kate arrived to my door at precisely 9:00am (I love promptness!) and carried with her bags of groceries and an easy, breezy, let’s get down to business attitude.  The menu?

Grilled Shrimp with Cilantro Lime Vin
Sesame Soba Noodles with Spinach and Tofu
Salmon Brown Rice Salad
Green Chicken Chili
Asparagus and Pickled Shallots
Tomato Salad with Corn Vinaigrette
Banana Bread

After about two hours of uncontrollable hunger brought on by the most amazing aromas coming from my kitchen, I finally had to get out of the house. When I arrived back home, I opened my fridge to organized, labeled tupperware containing an array of beautiful, delectable options. Is it lunchtime yet?

Now, I love to cook, but I won’t lie…most week days figuring out what to cook seems like more work that it’s worth. Life just got a lot easier. And that’s The Dish.

NOTE: Set up a cooking visit now for a special $200 (plus groceries) introductory rate. Service is currently only offered in Los Angeles, New York and the Hamptons, but keep your eyes open for expansion. Have a friend who’s expecting, give a gift certificate sure to outshine the rest!

  1. Is there anyway to add the Facebook “Like” to your website or to specific articles? I saw that ABC has done it for its shows like Grey’s Anatomy I think that would be something worthy of looking into. That way, the site becomes more dimensional and can reach the audience it truly deserves. If there was a way to do that, I would press “Like” to the article, but press “Dislike” for not getting any of that delicious banana bread. 🙂
