It’s crazy to think that in less than three weeks, we will be on a plane to make the rounds for another east coast Christmas! Last year it was 70 degrees in New York City on Christmas Eve—so very wonderful and unexpected. I loathe having to pack for extreme cold temperatures, because as you can imagine, my LA wardrobe is very limited. When it comes to packing a holiday outfit, I nix the ultra fussy cocktail attire and look for something festive, yet comfortable. I need something that can transition from a day with the family in Brooklyn to a dinner date in Manhattan at night.
I have had my eye on this striped blouse for months—literally since seeing the Alexa Chung billboard, I have stalked the store. To me, it is the epitomy of chic, can be dressed up or down, and can be worn if there’s a heat wave or a snow storm—just add a colorful coat. That’s why this outfit is the first thing I’ll be packing in my carry-on for my holiday travels.
