10 Year Anniversary Trip Ideas: Four Seasons Maui

IT’s BEEN 10 YEARS.

We just got back from celebrating our 10 year anniversary in Maui, the place where we honeymooned those years ago.

Four Seasons

We had been saving all year to splurge at the Four Seasons.

And it didn’t disappoint! We started every morning just like this, with a little dip in the hot tub and infinity pool. Take me back!

Massage

The massage I had in their beach-side hut was the best massage I have had of any kind, anywhere. Though, if you are looking for a mind-blowing spa facility, the Grand Wailea Spa cannot be beat.

Umbrellas

If you are going to Maui for the first time, I highly recommend staying in Wailea. We have stayed on the other side of the island and I much prefer the beaches and weather in the south. The Mister also prefers the snorkling here. We even paddleboarded right outside the hotel..can you imagine…ME paddleboarding! I wasn’t half bad.

Bloody Mary on the Beach

I also drank my weight in Bloody Mary’s, something I much prefer to paddleboarding.

Homemade Mai Tai

The hotel set up a little make your own Mai Tais in our room…so cute right??

pineapple drinks

But not half as cute as the drinks we bought in these pineapples.

Mamas Fish House

On our actual anniversary, we went to Mama’s Fish House, one of our all time favorite restaurants. I even recreated their Coconut Ceviche at home and you can too.

In addition to the best food, they also have the best Mai Tais on the island!

Iao Valley State Park Maui

After a lot of pool/beach time, we decided to explore. Having already done the famous Road to Hana on other trips, we drove over to the Iao Valley State Park for incredible views.

It was our last day, and a rainy one at that, so we got a little nostalgic and walked over to the Grand Wailea to see if it had changed. We were so happy to see that everything has been so well maintained (the photo is of their little chapel). It is equally as fabulous as the Four Seasons and I highly recommend either hotel.

Champagne

It was an incredible week and we toasted (many times over). Thanks to the Four Seasons for helping us celebrate in such a special way. And for the fireworks display right off our balcony (it was someone else’s wedding, but we pretended they were for us ;)…

What an amazing way to celebrate 10 incredible years. Thanks for letting us in so we can vicariously live through you. Looking forward to all the next decades’ celebrations, which, if your track record is anything to go by, will always be bigger and better (although this one looks hard to beat…complete with fireworks!). I loved seeing you the other night, thank you so much!

  2. Looks like a storybook anniversary! Best wishes and love for many more happy years and celebrations together!
